How to do it
- 1
Upload the PDF
If it has an empty signature field, the inspector finds it.
- 2
Choose your signature
Draw it, type it, or use a photo of it. If you have a .p12 certificate, add a digital signature as well.
- 3
Place it and download
Put it where it goes and download the signed PDF.
What's different in aval
Digital signature included
With your certificate, the PDF carries a signature that shows if anything changed after signing.
Check signatures
Verify signatures says who signed, when, and whether the document changed since.
It checks every document
When you upload it, aval looks for blank pages, upside-down scans, pages without text and empty signature fields, and offers the fix.
Your file stays with aval
It's processed on our servers and stored encrypted with your account's key. It isn't sent to other services, shown ads, or used to train AI.
Questions
Is it legally valid?
A visible signature (drawn, typed or from an image) and a digital signature with a certificate are different things. Which one a procedure accepts depends on the procedure and the country.
Is my certificate stored?
No. It's used to sign, and neither it nor its password is saved in your account.
Other tools
- Word to PDF Turn Word, Excel, PowerPoint or LibreOffice files into PDF, to send, sign or merge them.
- Password-protect PDF Protect a PDF with a password using AES-256 encryption, or remove the password from one you can open.
- Redact PDF Hide an ID number, an address or an account number so it can't be copied: aval removes the text, it doesn't just cover it.
